Reactions in Aqueous Solutions

An aqueous solution is a solution in which the solvent is water. The net ionic equations are equations that show only the soluble, strong electrolytes reacting (these are represented as ions) and omit the spectator ions, which go through the reaction unchanged. There are rules or guidelines determining solubility of substances: If a substance involved is not soluble, the reaction forms a precipitate.
