What is speciation in the evolutionary biology?

Speciation is the evolutionary process by which reproductively isolated biological populations evolve to become distinct species. Patterns of evolution are set of patterns common to systems as they are developed and while acquire new features. There are three types of patterns : convergent evolution, divergent evolution and co-evolution.
