Neurotransmission

The process by which signaling molecules called neurotransmitters are released by a neuron (presynaptic neuron), and bind to and activate the receptors of another neuron (postsynaptic neuron). The gap between every two neurons called synapse and it allows molecules to travel between two neurons.
