What happened to the Loyalists after the American Revolutionary War?

The Patriots were the supporters of American Independence and the Loyalists supported English monarch and rule in the course of the American Revolutionary War. After the victory of the Patriots, part of the Loyalists left to other territories under British rule, but the majority became citizens of the new republic.
